For your first computer project you are to reproduce Exhibits 8.8 and 8.9 on pages 180-181 in Judd & McClelland. However, to keep it interesting, you must use the small set of School Referrals data set, and substitute AGGRESS for HSRANK and VIQ for SATV and PIQ for SATM in each of the models and each of the questions. Also, for your area of interest, think of and provide at least one possible parallel question to those presented on page 181. For example, in the area of school psychology, there are psychologists who substitute social adjustment scores for traditional social maturity measures. If you were attempting to predict academic achievement measures in children, a possible parallel question to the 5th one presented on page 181 could be: Is it useful to add social adjustment scores scores to a model predicting children's reading achievement which already includes intelligence and social maturity scores?
